Serving Bridgeport, Texas since 1928

The Bridgeport Lions Club was founded in July of 1928 under Charter L.D. Kirkpatrick, inaugural President Dr. Carl Read and twenty-eight founding members. This group would lay the foundation of what the club would one day be - the largest service-based organization in Bridgeport, Texas.

Nearly 100 years later, the Bridgeport Lions Club has expanded to more than fifty members, making it one of the largest chapters of the region. The original guiding principle remains the same - community service at the forefront of every action, decision and conversation.

The club's members strive to reach an organizational goal of serving the community for a combined 3,200 hours per year. To reach this goal, Bridgeport Lions Club members volunteer their time by participating in the club’s numerous charitable community projects.
